The Competence Centre for Digitalisation (KCD:NOC) will be created within the project financed by the FM EEA and NFM as a centre enabling the digitalisation of several types of culture objects from the central as well as regional archive collections.
The originals of the digitalised objects could be later reconstructed and archived if necessary without physically approaching them under the conditions necessary for their durable preservation without damage.
This is how KCD: NOC will contribute to the fulfillment of European and world requirements for protection and development of the unique world heritage and at the same time it would help Slovakia to transform to fully-fledged information society. Moreover the KCD: NOC represents the key system element in the process of revitalization of the Slovak culture and at the same time it is the significant qualitative progress in the fulfillment of the NOC tasks.
